Legacy Planning
A major project or event – whether it is the hosting
of an international sporting, arts or cultural event, a corporate initiative, or the rebuilding of a community after a humanitarian disaster – is a rare opportunity for an organisation, country or city to present itself to the world. Through strategic legacy planning, an event becomes an opportunity to position the people, culture, economy, political values and natural environment of the host for its future beyond the lifetime of the event.
Gen.a is recognised as a world-leader in the development and activation of event legacy, leveraging, country branding and partnership strategies with organisations such Fairtrade International. We have been responsible for major legacy programs related to events including the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games, Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics, the 2007 Cricket World Cup in the Caribbean, Centenary of Canberra 2013, and
Events NSW (including Vivid, Crave and the
Sydney Autumn Carnival).

Our broad experience ranges from public-private partnerships and long-term corporate marketing agreements, to event legacy and social initiatives.
