Gen.a is proud to be a signatory to the world’s largest voluntary corporate social responsibility movement – the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) and a member of the Global Compact Network Australia (GCNA).
As a signatory, we are connected to a global community with a shared commitment to corporate social responsibility and the responsible business practice guidelines outlined in the UNGC’s Ten Principles across key areas including human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption.
Comprising businesses, both large and small, across many sectors, the role of the GCNA is to give an Australian voice to the UNGC within our own cultural and business context. The GCNA also provides a leadership platform and forum for members to learn from each other through join problem solving and the sharing of knowledge, experience and expertise.
As a member of the GCNA Board and Chair of the Communication sub-committee, Gen.a offered our creative design and editorial services on a ‘low bono’ basis to create a unique identity for the GCNA that could be applied to marketing and communications material including the development of a new website platform.
In developing the website, Gen.a worked closely with UNGC key stakeholders and Alliance partner and digital expert, Michael Cairns from Shaking Paper who provided strategic insight and technical ability.
The new site was launched in October 2011. Visit www.unglobalcompact.org.au
