The latest issue of the International Trade Centre (ITC)’s quarterly magazine, the International Trade Forum is now online.

Focusing on the role of Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) on the Aid for Trade agenda, the issue explores topics including the role of corporate social responsibility programs in the private sector; the evolving links between business, governments and international development agencies; and engaging the private sector in trade facilitation.

We also highlight best case studies of PPP across a number of different industries and take a look at the new breed of “philanthrocapitalists” including the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, William J. Clinton, Schwab and Rockefeller Foundations.

“With the 2015 deadline for the Millennium Development Goals approaching, PPPs are creating a bridge between the developed and developing worlds where corporations, governments, non- and inter-governmental agencies all need to embrace the potential for shared, sustainable value creation through collaborative partnerships,” said Executive Director of the ITC, Mrs Patricia Francis.

Contributors include Executive Director of the UN Global Compact, Georg Kell; CEO and Founder of Acumen Fund, Jacqueline Novogratz; CEO of Fairtrade International, Rob Cameron; Global Head of Citizenship and Diversity for KPMG International, Lord Hastings of Scarisbrick; and Senior Vice President and Executive Director of the US Chamber of Commerce’s Business Civic Leadership Centre, Stephen Jordan amongst others.
