gen.a re-elected to the UN Global Compact

Posted by Kris McIntyre on 6 July 2010

Our Managing Director, David Faulks, has been re-elected onto the United National Global Compact Steering Committee for Australia.

The UN Global Compact is the largest voluntary corporate citizenship and sustainability initiative in the world with over 7,700 corporate participants and stakeholders from more than 130 countries.

Launched in July 2000, the UN Global Compact is both a policy platform and practical framework for companies that are committed to sustainability and responsible business practices.

As a leadership initiative endorsed by chief executives, it seeks to align business operations and strategies everywhere with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption.

“We are a small business committed to positive social development linked to business success. Being part of the Global Compact, helps us to deliver on our goals within the broader community while building a powerful network for change,” said David.

As part of our commitment to the UN Global Compact, Gen.a recently offered our services to design a brochure (download here) and annual report cover for the Australian Network.

Other companies on board the UNGC Steering Committee for Australian include KPMG, Woolworths, Allens Arthur Robinson, Rio Tinto, Nestle, Westpac, Sebel Furniture, the Committee for Melbourne and Griffith University.
